Secret Garden
Kalymnos, GR
Secret Garden is hidden, yes. But secret? Hardly!
One of the most celebrated and major crags of Kalymnos, it is located near the remote north coast, with sweeping views of the water, Leros island, a set of smaller islets (Pitta, Kalolimnos, and Imia), and the west coast of Turkey in the background. Secret Garden is like the lovechild of sectors Odyssey and Ghost Kitchen: with stalactites growing on the slightly overhanging red face like wings and branches, more than 50 well-bolted routes, and shade that lasts all day, it doesn’t get much better than this. At day’s end, head down to the fjord of Palionisos (less than five minutes away on scooter) for food, drinks, and/or a swim in the most beautiful emerald green waters on the island.
Highly featured rock, stalactites, tufa mushrooms, and sit-down rests at one of the best crags for summer climbing.
