Meisules

Alto Adige, IT

The bouldering area Meisules lies between one of the best climbing areas of South Tyrol, Frea, and the ca. 200 m high Meisules cliffs with their infamous Alpine tours. Here, one climbs primarily on craggy pockets and ledges. The traf c noises of the pass road can be quite annoying, especially in July and August. But apart from that, the ambience is great, especially in the evenings when the hillside is coated in orange light. The jumping off area is often very steep and thus at least one spotter should accompany you. After long rainfall the boulders dry quickly. That makes the area a good alternative when Falzarego and Steiner- ne Stadt (City of Stone) are wet.
