Unterland

The Unterland extends from Bolzano into the south where it adjoins Trentino. Whereas the porphyry prevails in the north, the rock changes further south after Monticolo. In the surroundings of Cortaccia the climbing is on dolomite, which is partly friable. One can find very demanding routes as well as routes for beginners.
