Oudtshoorn

Western Cape, ZA

Oudtshoorn has the only limestone crags in South Africa. The climbing is awesome, with the Main Wall having a plethora of world-class routes of mostly stiffish grades on tufa formations. The routes on the Main Wall start at grade 22/6c and go all the way to 34/8c, with many routes from 25/7a+ to 31/8a+. Definitely worth a visit if you are feeling strong. There is also a clutch of easier routes from 16/5b to 21/6b+, which are scattered across a few crags that are worth doing. At the time of writing, there were about 100 sport routes at the Oudtshoorn Crags.
