Steinplatte

The Steinplatte is a 4 kilometer long so called “Trockenriff”, an ancient and by now dry reef, which developed in the Trias. It reaches up to 200 meters in height. Due to its special way of creation, this rock sill has a particular consistency. It is possible to climb on pockets, crimps and sloping holes, all on limestone of excellent quality. The area is very popular during summer months and is sometimes compared to the world-famous Céüse.
