L’Olandese Volante (7a+)

Trentino, IT

The route L’Olandese Volante runs through the same wall that hosts the sport climbing crag Piccola Dallas at its base. The route is vertical to overhanging and at times quite exposed. The rock is mainly compact, water carved and offers varied climbing. Thanks to the north-western orientation, the route is suitable for warm days, as the sun starts hitting the wall only in the afternoon. Don’t be discouraged at the beginning of the route; it is much better than it looks. Gear: a 70 m single or 60 m half ropes, 12 quickdraws, a sling for the last belay on a tree.
