Säben

Südtirol/Alto Adige, IT

The rocks around Säben Monastery have been climbed for a long time. In recent years, old routes have been restored, new ones have been opened up and the approach to the wall has been equipped with steel ropes and pins. The exposed base of the wall, which is not exactly family-friendly, is now more accessible. Here you are rewarded with varied climbing on beautiful rock. The approach through the small town of Klausen and the surrounding vineyards, and the location above the Tinnebach stream also give the climbing area a special flair. A helmet is recommended as many of the routes have yet to be climbed.
