Menhir Pfeiler

Südtirol/Alto Adige, IT

Until a few years ago, there was only one route to climb the striking pillar on the Passo Gardena. The Menhir route was drilled by Christoph Hainz and first climbed by Hanspeter Eisendle in 1992. Thanks to its elegant lines, it is still one of the most popular projects for local climbers. Another route has since been added: Rolando Larcher set up the Dolmen semi-trad route in 2017, which he was able to redpoint in 2019. Belays and bolts are only used where necessary. Rolando himself describes the new line as a 5-star route.
