Theatro
Peloponnese, GR
__Theatro__ is quite unique for Leonidio. It is isolated at the top part of a wall, access is from above via abseil to reach a long, steep, narrow ledge at the base of the climbs. In essence, you are hanging far above the road from Leonidio to Kosmas.
Climbing at Theatro is for very experienced climbers only, and there is only room on the ledge for 10–12 climbers at a maximum.
__Climbing__
On a steep wall full of tufas, stalactites, and overhangs, but some typical climbs on vertical rock also. At the time of writing there are about 40 routes, some with extensions, graded mainly 6b–7c, including six very interesting, overhanging multi-pitches of up to four pitches long. All routes were equipped by the Remy Brothers, Christophe Botfield, and Boris Grobéty, with the help of Yiannis and Iakovos Metaxotos in 2018/20.
__Gear__
A single 80m rope + 25 QDs for the extensions. Helmets mandatory.
