Bella Vista
Peloponnese, GR
As the name implies, __Bella Vista__ is at a high location with pretty views, near the starting point of Daphnon valley. It is a comfortable, well-bolted sector, offering a pleasant alternative for a sunny winter day.
__Climbing__
On a lot of good vertical face climbs, but also
some excellent, slightly overhanging juggy routes, sometimes with tufas, other times with big pockets and holes. Most routes are mid-grade (6a–7b) and well-bolted. Some very good 6b–7a+ routes are reason enough to visit Bella Vista. Kurt Hürlimann has done excellent work bolting and cleaning this climber-friendly sector, which is mostly sunny with comfortable terrain around the cliffs.
__Gear__
A single 80m rope + 12–25 QDs, depending on the length of the route.
__Conditions__
Good for sunny winter days and cloudy autumn or spring days. Avoid on windy days: the col at the right side of the crag is very exposed to the wind. Rocks dry quickly after rainfall.
__Shade (Exposure: S)__
Only a few hours of morning shade on the left side
(until about 11:30).
__Kids__
Good, though the path is long and steep.
