Hávosi

Peloponnese, GR

__Hávosi__ is a small new sector well-camouflaged in an impressive gorge that’s part of a natural formation of smaller gorges and ravines known locally as Loggari. Starting high up on Mount Zástano (1027m), they first flow steeply downwards, then come together as one body of water to continue a more peaceful journey down to sea. In 2019, as part of the CLIMB KYPARISSI PROJECT, Aris Theodoropoulos and George Kopalides bolted six lines on a small section of these cliffs, making it a good crag for a climbing party or a family to spend a quiet afternoon at. __Climbing__ On six well-protected routes of varying styles (from slabby grey to very overhanging on colonettes) and grades (6a–7b+). The terrain at the base of the routes resembles a pebbled beach. __Gear__ A single 60m rope + 14 QDs. __Conditions__ Best for spring and fall afternoons. __Shade (Exposure: NE)__ After 14:30. __Kids__ OK, if some scrambling near the end of the path isn’t a problem.
