Titlis (Extrem)

Ostschweiz,

It took awhile before power drills made their first debut in the super steep impressive North Face of the Titlis. Once they did, it became the ultimate playground for ambitious sport climbers. These North Face climbs are hard and long. Most climbers will need months of intensive training like 4 to 5 campus board sessions per week during the winter months to prepare. And these routes are really steep. The route “Land ohne Herren“ alone overhangs 50m! Superman strength and endurance are needed up here and it’s certainly no place for those prone to vertigo. In 2010, Matthias Trottman climbed “Piz Dal Nas“, the hardest North Face route in Switzerland to date. But it wasn’t the hardest for long, as his latest project “Hattori Hanzo“ checking in at 8b+, will most likely surpass it. Inspired by the Bernese Musician ”Müslüm”, Bernd Rathmayr and Reto Ruhstaller has created (naturally without ingesting any mind altering substances!) the newest hardcore climb called fittingly: “Supervitamin“ (named after the album).
