Rigi Hochflue (plaisir)

Ostschweiz,

Coarse limestone slabs, water runnels, many natural threads and wondrous views. “Thedys Gärtli” (Teddy’s Little Crag) as it is known as, was developed by Thedy Ulrich in 1984. The routes were later retrofitted by Markus Anderes and Fonsy Märchy (Swiss Alpine Club). The approach is sketchy and its not a bad idea to put on your harness at the alcove as you can clip into the fixed cable for protection. Another way to get to the beginning of the routes is to go Eastward from the summit until you reach the top of the routes from “Thedy’s Gärtli”. And from here walk down to the base of the routes.
