Pythari

Kalymnos, GR

Pythari is the name of a stunning, untouched location on the south of Kalymnos and home to a remote monastery. That entire part is named Pythari; the small cliff with ten routes is named Nera. There is potential for more routes of all grades here. Keep in mind that because of the crag’s remote location you will need a full day to get there, climb, and return. __Why is this an app-only crag? __ Remote, rarely visited crag. Long approach. __Climbing__ On an excellent grey slab on the left and very good, steeper red rock on the right. __Conditions__ Best for fall, winter, and spring. Exposed to the rain. __Shade__ Exposure: S Until 11:30. __Kids __ The walk-in is very long and the area remote, otherwise there is some suitable terrain around the cliffs. __Busy__ 1/3
