Eptingen (plaisir)

Despite its proximity to the freeway (or because of it?), this crag sees alot of traffic and is very popular with climbers. The best rock quality is in the “Diegter- wand” Sector. The compact vertical face offers technical and challenging climbing. Thanks to the retrofitting and rebolting efforts of IG Climbing Basel, you can now climb stress free without an ice tool in hand to the left of the “Dry Tool Cave”. Also, the routes stay in the shade for most of the day. Though this is bad for your Tan, it assures good grips even in summer.
