Flash
Harz, DE
The Flash Boulder (a.k.a. Teufelsfels) is certainly one of the most impressive in the valley. The problems on the main face are all fantastic, and the rock is bomber (except that one hold in Devotion). It is in a way the Columbia-Boulder of the Oker valley. Too bad that the approach is also among the longest. However, if you want to try hard, you can also bivy at the block (the key to success for Alex for the first ascent of The Flash), but please do not light a fire underneath the roof. The Flash is still one of the best problems in the valley, and, as Waldek proved, it is also possible for smaller climbers contrary to popular beliefs. The sector Flash also includes the problems at the Ziegenrückenturm and the blocks 50 m above. If you approach via the Ziegenrückenweg, these make good warm-up's.
