The crag “Tisner Auen” has been restored recently and new routes have been added. Surprisingly, the crag is not a very popular destination. This might be due to the unfavourable distribution of the difficulties of the routes. There are almost no routes for beginners and only in the upper 6th french grades the routes become interesting. In these grades, there are some challenging routes on slabs and “smearing freaks” will get their money’s worth.
Due to the orientation of the wall, it is possible to climb even on hot summer days. However, if it is very hot and humid climbing becomes much more difficult.
Walk on the wall of the road (for about 100 m) to a path on the right side which leads directly to the crag. As an alternative, you could follow the path which leads directly from the parking to the right hand side of the crag. However, the path is very steep and it is not recommended.
Drive on the MEBO from Meran in direction Bozen. Take the exit Gargazon. At the exit, instead of driving into the village continue to the west in the direction of the garbage dump. Park the car after a straight line.
