The crag Emisfero is the first crag to welcome one to the Val Pennavaire. It consists of a nice just slightly overhanging wall of up to 25 meters height. It lies in the shade all day and owes its success to its short access, which is practically zero and its homogeneity of the routes. The wall has mainly horizontal crimps/ sidepulls and thus resembles the historic sectors of the Vall di Susa like for example the Striature Nere. The routes require stamina. All in all it is not exactly the jewel of the valley but without doubt it is an ideal crag for a short climbing session or for climbing on nice stamina routes of medium difficulty...
From the dirt road a small path on the right leads in a couple of metres up to the base of the cliff.
From Cisano sul Neva drive to the junction at Martinetto and turn left into the valley. The crag is visible after about 700m on the left where it sticks out of the trees. A dirt road with gateposts at its entrance offers some parking spaces (alternatively other spaces are available along the main road).
