Monte San Liberatore

Campania, IT

Monte San Liberatore dominates Salerno and the same-named bay with its broad terrace, right in the middle of fragrant flowers and comfortable mule trails. Due to its orientation, this wall is often in the shade. The grey and exceptionally compact rock is littered with numerous holes and crimps. The crag lies opposite of the harbor of Salerno. If one wants to climb in peace, it is best to climb during holidays. Climbers from the region of Campania had laid sight onto this wall already in the 8Oies, making this crag one of the classics of the area.
