Glenmacnass

Ireland East,

Upstream from Glenmacnass Waterfall is a heather hillside strewn with granite boulders. The valley has a wilderness feel and many classic problems. The rock is rougher than Glendalough with a larger grain and the friction is excellent. A trip to Glenmac is not to be taken lightly, it’s a long walk especially to the problems further up the valley. Hiking boots or wellies are essential.
