Lough Bray (Wicklow Mountains National Park)
10 min / m.a.s.l. / North, East, West
Upper Lough Bray (GR O 138 155) has an interesting circuit of problems on very rough granite by the dark peaty lake. The standout problems are probably Away from the Numbers and Rainbow.
Sheltered from a westerly wind. Midge can be bad on a still day in summer.
Park at the carpark 2km south of Glencree beside the small quarry and follow the path down the hill towards the lake. The path can get very muddy. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the boulders. The carpark is notorious for break ins, so leave nothing in the car.
