Bergstation is an imposing wall, which can be seen already from the village Ginzling. Despite its impressive height of 90 meters, this wall had not been bolted until quite recently. The quality of the rock and the routes is exceptional, especially in the sectors Coque au Vin to 5 Sterne. The sector By the Way offers beautiful and long routes. The other sectors offer harder climbing up to 8c+, with a few outstanding lines, up to 80 meters of length. A particularly classic climb is the route “5 Sterne”, which is graded 7c+ and surely one of the best climbs of the whole valley. Climbers should not be discouraged by the somewhat longer approach: A visit to this crag is extremely recommended. It is possible to climb here almost year round. It is absolutely possible to find good conditions during the hot summer months as well.
Opposite the Schwarzenstein Inn (shortly after the beginning of the village), there is a footpath into the forest (panorama way). At the first distinctive right-hand bend (on the left there is a boulder, look at boulder-sector ‘Ginzling Wald’), turn to the left and follow the footpath. Pass the feeding ground and walk to the end of the wood and uphill to the rock wall (see foto on ‘Nasenwand’).
Drive along the main road into Zemmtal towards Ginzling. Shortly before the village, park on the right of a distinctive boulder. Alternatively drive to a parking about 50 metres after the Schliffsteintunnel, on the right.
