Ljubimer

Kvarner, HR

Ljubimer (AKA Reini's Biergoetter) is a bit less interesting next to Bag, but still a nice beginner wall, where you can also play in some kind of multipitches (although you can climb them in one go with an 80-meter rope). Bag and Ljubimer are sectors with vertical and in- clined walls, which are so fresh, that everything you grab sticks. The routes are not too hard for the grade and are meant for enjoyment. You need good technique and strong fingers. Although the beginnings of Bunculuka date to 1996, it was recently rebolted, while Bag and Ljubimer are brand new, so the gear should be tip top. At least for now - closeness of the sea is usually bad news for bolts. Sometimes you have to re-tie or mind the rope length. The rock may still crumble a bit, especially small pieces and the helmet is mandatory, due to many goats and sheep that roam above you. Ljubimer is not too suitable for kids, Bag is much nicer, but the winner is Bunculuka, which lies next to the beach (if you're not bothered by penises on the neighbouring beach).
